If tears were shed for every time
we'ed lost a friend to death
or for something we've lost
and can never find again
Would it make a difference
in everything we've said
or just remind us of selfish sorrow
while wishing we were dead
Do we really cry for love
do we really weep
for all that;s passed us up
and all we'll never keep
Sitting here and crying
for all the time that's gone
makes me wonder if it's real
or am I just forlorn
Death is never truly the end of life.
ReplyDeleteEven when someone dies their memories live on within someone elses memories. Things are never truly forgotten. Even the earth remembers the very first rain it had.
You're only sad because you want to be sad. You are forlorn. Confused. You're supposed to be crying right now but it's impossible because you really just don't care. You're supposed to care though, so if you cry it shows that you do care. Go ahead, cry. You will feel better when you're done. You have to mean it when you cry...what's wrong with you?
ReplyDeletei get lost in the amazement on
ReplyDeletethe endless poetic
structures you can create with a
paint brush
In the time of despair
ReplyDeleteWe dine with wolves
All is considered fair
Tearing each other apart
Its our way of saying were sorry
For all we have done
And for all we will do
It pains me to admit,
ReplyDeleteyou've become a nuisance to me.
I sit, and grit my teeth,
watching you deceive so freely.
Every mindless action,
lacerates who I truly am.
I want you banned from my memory,
So I can enjoy what I have.
